Hi there
I had a maths exam today and got this question. It's been bugging me since I got out of the exam hall and I was wondering if you could let me know if my conclusion is right:
q: using Gaussian elimination, or otherwise, find the solutions to the following set of equations:
(Part 1 was fine)
ii) x+y+z=4
2x+y-z=0
4x+3y+z=9
I concluded that there is no set of solutions that will satisfy all three equations - am I right in thinking this?
Cheers
