Hi

Which dot product can be used when dealing with continuous functions or polynomials ? If you know this, you only have to find $f$ and $g$ such that $=0$.

For orthogonal polynomials, try researching the following:

Jacobi polynomials
Gegenbauer polynomials
Legendre polynomials and associated Legendre polynomials
Chebyshev polynomials
Laguerre polynomials
Hermite polynomials
