    simple question

    hi, my name is Galit and I am new here, I need to know what does it mean:
    group(1,2)*group(3,4) this is really urgent...

    I have not seen the notation group(1,2)... Are you asking what this means?If you know what it means, tell us, we will figure out the rest

    anyways this isn't written as group(1,2)... but :
    {1,2}*{3,4}... now found how to write this...
    but still what does this mean?

    You mostly mean the cartesian product.
    {1,2} x {3,4} = {(1,3), (1,4), (2,3), (2,4)}
