1. ## Exponential Functions (Graphs)

Hello, I have an upcoming test next week and don't really know how to solve these types of problems. Here is a practice worksheet that my instructor gave me, all I ask is someone could pls show me the" step by step" how to solve this solution (Pls don't just say the answer) Especially in the very 1st question. I just need to know the methods, thank you.

For question #1, note that both graphs contain the point $(0,3)$.
If $y=a(b)^x$ contains the point $(0,3)$ then $a=3$ WHY?
If the graph is increasing then $b>1$ WHY?
So post the answers, so we can help.

This is really just a matter of understanding what "ab^x" means and then doing the arithmetic.

When x= -2, -1, 0, 1, and 2 what are $\displaystyle 2(3^x)$ or $\displaystyle 3(2^x)$?
