    group theory

    The no.of permutations in S3 which are conjugate to sigma,where sigma=(1 2)(3 4)? How to solve this..plz help...Thank u so much for your time!!!

    Hey snehal.

    Hint - try listing all the permutations one by one and see how you go with that first.

    S3 only contains 3!= 6 permutations. Write them all out What does "conjugate" mean for a permutation?
