    Linear Algebra - Quadratic form

    Hey guys,
I have a problem that I am doing but I am stuck.
    Linear Algebra - Quadratic form-5q2.jpg
    Is the matrix for part A simply A= 2 -2 0
    -2 1 -2
    0 -2 0 ????
I am stuck on part B, as doing lambda*I -A gives a rubbish determinant answer, or I am just doing it wrong. It would be great to have pointers on the remainder of the question as well.

    Help would be much appreciated.

Apparently you are doing it wrong. I get very simple answers. Please show your work and we may be able to point out your errors.

    Help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks from emakarov
