    Help!!!!!!!!!

    I cannot figure this problem out! I need step-by-step instructions on how to solve it...I have tried so many different times! It is a quadratic formula equation: 1/4x -1/28x-13/14=0

    Re: Help!!!!!!!!!

    Multiply the entire equation by x^2. See if that'll help you

    This is ambiguous...

    Is it:

    \frac{1}{4x^2} - \frac{1}{28x} - \frac{13}{14} = 0

    or

    \frac{1}{4} x^2 - \frac{1}{28} x - \frac{13}{14} = 0 ?

    If the former, as above, multiply through by 28x^2, and use the quadratic formula and if the latter, just use the quadratic formula (still multiply by 28 to make things a bit easier):

    If ax^2 + bx + c = 0 \implies x = \frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}
