    coll and Null for examination

    Hi,
    how should i solve this?thanks
    suppose A is a 3x5 matrix,and that Ax=b is a consistent system of equations for all b is an element of R^3.
    Explain....what is the dimension of Col(A) and Null(A)?

    You need the "dimension theorem" for Linear Algebra: If A is an n by n matrix, col(A)+ null(A)= n.

    Now, what does "consistent system" mean when A if "3 X 5"?
