    Determinant

    Please help me to obtain the value of the following determinant:

    \det\begin{bmatrix}((b+c)^2 & ab & ca\\ab & (c+a)^2 & bc\\ca & bc & (a+b)^2)\end{bmatrix}.

    Here's a good link for this. Look up the section on 3x3 matrices...it shows the method of "expansion by minors."

    EXPAND WITH MINORS AND YOU WILL GET EASILY

    2abc(a+b+c)^3 as simple as such.
