    Complex Algebra Problem

So I have a Complex Algebra question. I didn't know if i should have put this into the Algebra section or this section as i didn't use complex numbers in Pre-University Math

The picture below has a limit problem that i plugged into WolfRamAlpha and I wanted to know how it got from the original problem to the second step.
It says factor out the numerator and denominator but it seems that their are is a couple steps I am not seeing.

    Thanks for the help

    Re: Complex Algebra Problem

    Basically they're using:

    (a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2

    (a-b)(a-b)=a^2-2ab+b^2

    e^x \cdot e^{-x} = e^{x+(-x)} = 1
