    Calculate distance! SOLVED!

    Hello!
I got one quest if B=(5/2,5/2,6)
and A=(2,3,8) should not AB (positive)=(-1/2,-1/2,-2)
well the solotion says AB=(1/2,-1/2,-2) i get at end same answer just wounder if its just they forgot to make it negative! The problem is: calculate distance from point A=(2,3,8) to line L: (x,y,z)=(2,2,6)+t(1,1,0)
well here is a pic but its on swedish.

I don't know what you mean by AB.

    If A=(a_1,a_2,a_3)~\&~B=(b_1,b_2,b_3) then the vector \overrightarrow {AB} = \left\langle {b_1 - a_1 ,b_2 - a_2 ,b_3 - a_3 } \right\rangle .
    Thanks from Petrus
