Calculate distance

Hello!
I got one quest if B=(5/2,5/2,6)
and A=(2,3,8) should not AB (positive)=(-1/2,-1/2,-2)
well the solotion says AB=(1/2,-1/2,-2) i get at end same answer just wounder if its just they forgot to make it negative! The problem is: calculate distance from point A=(2,3,8) to line L: (x,y,z)=(2,2,6)+t(1,1,0)
