Let u, v, w be the three columns of a 3x3 matrix A. The determinant of matrisen.A can then be regarded as a function of u, v, w. Assume that (u, v, w) = det (A) = 1 Determine the (v +6 w, w +3 u, u +5 v).

i got none progress..

Hey Petrus.

What are the identities of the determinant when you do row operations? You have probably been given a few identities that say how the determinant changes when you do row operations.

Also take note that det(A) = det(A^T). - November 1st 2012, 01:37 PMPetrusRe: Matrice
