    how to get the value of GFILog (FF)

    Hi,
    I need to implement Galois Field division in my application.
    Please follow the link for the reference http://www.xilinx.com/support/docume...es/xapp865.pdf.
    In this document GFILog (FF) and GFLog(00) is not defined.

    Please suggest me how can I calculate the value of these?

    Thanks
    Madan

    Re: how to get the value of GFILog (FF)

    it looks like we are in GF16 (judging from the fact that the LUT's are 15x15), so the field in question is:

    \frac{\mathbb{Z}_2[x]}{(x^8 + x^4 + x^3 + x^2 + 1)}

    i think you might find a more detailed answer here:
