Thread: binary operators

Does there exists binary operators that do not use basic addition and multiplication? Or are these to approaches so fundamental to our thinking, that we cannot think of others?

there exist other binary operators two such as:
in logic:
conjunction
disjunction
equivalence

i also found somewhere this binary operator:

a#b (a hash b) represents the power tower of a:

a^a^a^a^...^a where a appears b times.

oh yeah,there are also multiplication and division.
