Thread: Solving the current through a glass furnace

Hello Guys, I've got a project I need to do and it involves modelling a electric glass making furnace and calculating the resistance between electrodes (which are a way of heating the glass) and from there calculating the current and power going into it.

I've found these two papers on the matter, and they seem to be what I need.
I have tried going through the worked examples in the paper, but I don't come close to the results.

I was wondering if someone could please help me.

I've tired in excel and also matlab but to no good results.

I don't want to put my code up, just so no one follows my same mistakes.

I may put it up later..

Your documents contain way too much text and formulas to work through.
IMO you're question is way too generic.
I think you will have to simplify and pinpoint what you want to know...

I'm trying to get a program that can do all the calculations in the document: Accurate Modeling of Interelectrode Resistance and .pdf
