    Need help with an equation.

    Hello,

I need help with the following:

    "Verify that Inverse(I + V) = I-0.5V
, provided that V is idempotent"

    (I=Identity Matrix)

    Please help me out.

    Moljka.

    Consider:

    (I+V)(I-V/2)

    and the definition of idempotent
