Thread: Linear Algebra Integral

Hi guys,

In this problem, when it says "If we want to approximate the values of x(t) at x = 0, 1/2, 1", is this a typo? Shouldn't that be "t = 0, 1/2, 1"? Also, I'm not totally certain if I applied the Trapezoid rule correctly. Here a link to the solution.

It is a typo. You don't know the values of x - that's what you're trying to find! It should be as you mention. It looks like your application of the trapezoidal rule is fine. Just turn the crank on the 3 x 3 system of equations.
