Crout algorithm to finding LU decomposition

Can someone give me an example of how this works...i already know how to do dolittle method but I cant find a numerical example of crout and the general theory is Chinese to me...I'm an engineer.

    take a simple 3x3 matrix

If you can 'do' Doolittle then you can 'do' Crout.
With Doolittle you put 1's down the lead diagonal of the L matrix and then calculate the remaining non-zero elements in both the L and U matrices, with Crout you start with 1's down the lead diagonal of the U matrix and then again calculate the remaining no-zero elements.
