At least show some effort. What does " $\{v_1, v_2\}$ " mean? Is it the span of the two vectors?

Later in the problem, they consider $\text{span}\{v_1, v_2\}$ , so $\{v_1, v_2\}$ is probably just the set consisting of $v_1$ and $v_2$ .
