    Quick question:

    what does the symbol $\displaystyle \nmid$ mean?

    It is the negation for 'given' in conditional probability.

    I.e $\displaystyle P(A\nmid B)$

    Depends on context. $\displaystyle n\nmid m$ could mean that $\displaystyle n$ does no divide $\displaystyle m$.
