# Math Help - linear equations

1. ## linear equations

Could anyone help me solve this equation

5/2x + 3/x+2 = 4/x

2. multiply all with $2x(x+2)$ and u'll get :

$\displaystyle \frac {5}{2x} +\frac{3}{x+2}= \frac{4}{x}$

$5(x+2) +3 (2x) = 4[2(x+2)]$

$5x +10 + 6x = 8x +16$

$3x = 6$

$x = 2$
