    Powers

    Hi..

    I have the following problem...

    2.1604*s^2.513 +0.9921*s^0.512 - 15.95 = 0

I have an answer of s = 2.13 from my text book but i can't seem to calculate it myself..

Can anyone show me the steps leading to the solution ??

    Thanks in advance....

    Bailey.....

Well, one thing you can do is put s= 2.13 into that equation and see that it is NOT the solution. Are you sure you haven't miscopied the problem?
