1. ## Using Rules of indices

Hey im not such a mathes expert and would appreciate your help on some of the following questions if you could try to explain how to work them out if you can ill give you one of many

Using the rules of indices, simplify the following and give your answers with positive indices where applicable. Show your working clearly.

i)
3-2 5-3 20
------------------
3-3 5-2 2

Also calculate log1195 without using a calculater.

All helps appreciated

2. You mean "indicies" as in primitive roots? A index is the exponent a primitive root has to be raised to to be congruent to a certain integer.

No they mean "indices" as in "raised to a power". The question should
$\frac{3^{-2}.5^{-3}.20}{3^{-3}.5^{-2}.2}$
Also calculate $log_{11}(95)$ without using a calculator."
