Let T be a linear transformation on V3(R) defined by

T(x,y,z) = ( x+3y , x+y-2z , x+y+z )

Find the matrix of T relative to

i) the standard basis for V3(R)

(think thats {(1,0,0),(0,1,0),(0,0,1)})

ii) the R-basis {(1,0,1),(-2,1,1),(1,-1,1)}

The matrix for part a is:
1 3 0
1 1 –2
1 1 1.

What do you think is the matrix for part b?
