    Question Subspace of vector

    Is the following a subspace of R^3? The set of all vectors of the form (a,b,c) where
    a+b+c=1

    Does this set contain, and this is a NECESSARY condition, the zero vector?

    Are you seriously asking? What about taking the zero vector (0,0,0) and plugging it into a+b+c = 1 to check?
