    [SOLVED] Help Please

    Can someone show me how to do this please.

    Let { v1, v2, v3, } be a basis for a vector space.

    Show that
    w1 = v1 + v2
    w2 = v2 + v3
    w3 = v1 - v3

    Can not span V

    w3 + w2 = w1

    V has dimension 3, this set of three vectors is not linearly independent, so it can't span V.

    I thought that at first but shrugged it off as being too simple!
